Writing effective titles for your copy or article – A MUST!

I came across an interesting article on “How You Can Write Effective Titles” by DG.

A good article undoubtedly, but seemed to me that it was lacking something.

What the article was lacking:

Whenever you are writing an article, you are necessarily writing it with some target readers in mind, who may need some information on the topic.

And you would want them to come to your page while searching with some key terms or words or phrases!

Now here is the crux!

The title of an article is in fact the banner of a store, something that tells about what one is supposed to get inside – a gateway that will direct the prospects inside!

While writing content or article for web users, make sure that the title of your article carries those key-phrases – it is also recommended to fix the key phrases in the beginning.

This will let the user know that the article is relevant to his or her quarries.

Do some keyword analysis before you even start writing the first line of your article!

Don’t simply target the primary key-phrases, make sure that you use keywords associated with them (known as secondary keywords) too.

You would also need to use those key-phrases in the body of your article to make it relevant to the topic for readers as well as for search engines.

It will not only make the article prominent, but will bring the targeted reader to your door.

  1. You’re right, I’ve been an SEO for so long that KW analysis is second nature.

I will say that using exact KW phrases is no longer necessary, in fact, I make it a point to make sure that titles aren’t just a KW phrase.

  2. I am not saying that you should be using exact key phrase!
But you need to use them!
your artistry is in mixing the phrases with your intentions!

  3. Great post I think I summed up what you are saying in response to your comment over at Blog About Your blog before coming over here to read your post!!!

  4. i agree with you… a lot of times when i check my blog visits page, there are people who’ve searched something else and landed up at my page …. search engines just connect the words and give you reults so when u are writing articles you have to be more accutare in defining your headlines
