Read from horse’s mouth (if you haven’t done it yet!!!): why, how and what Google planned to capture or monitor the web in The Anatomy of a Large-Scale Hypertextual Web Search Engine. The paper was submitted to Computer Science Department of Stanford University by Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page – hope you know these guys!

    Wow, that’s a very nice document, from Google inception. I always wondered how the Google’s algorithm worked and here it is. Funny, this never came up when searching “google algorithm”. It seems very simple, why didn’t I think of it… doh!
