Course for Content WritersAji has written a very interesting post in his blog titled SEO a curse for Content Writers. While writing the comment, I was pampered to write a post and while writing the post I am prepared to write a series of posts on “Online Content Writing Course”.

I may often refer to content writer’s profiles rather than sticking to Content Writing alone. It would also include my own experiences as a content writer along with what I see in the industry.

 

1) Marketing Experience:

Good content is all about subtle marketing – you sell something - knowledge or experience – you are paid in cash or in kind – as simple as that.

The beginners (and many experienced writers too) take marketing in an undeserving sense. Please remove your slippers as early as possible. Selling is an art – you can’t just sell a SUV and a Chicken Roast with the same approach. The success depends on the way you communicate with an unknown person – you get only one chance to hit the target.

I will pin on behavioral marketing with a simple outline on marketing strategies and techniques. However, my emphasis would be on direct marketing experience, as it would keep you open to direct client interaction.

Regular interactions in related forums may do as good to give you a worthy experience along with exposure to target market. Here you can also cultivate and maintain different identities – the best quality a content writer can ever have. However, you must maintain these identities consciously so that you can shift between them as soon as you feel your client’s pulse.

    Hmm.. I am worried. Sometimes I am nicely dressed, but I admit I do my best typing in my bare feet.
